29 December 2025 - Join us in January!
There are two events to look out for in January - including on New Year's Day. Hair of the dog, anyone?
We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas. Here are a couple of events coming up very soon, as we kick off 2026 in style:
Thursday 1 January: New Year's Drinks and Hot Food
The New Year's Day Football Match is a Stoke Goldington tradition - turn up at the rec at 11am, join a team, score some goals and run off that hangover from the party the night before.
Everyone used to come along to the football match (players and spectators, of all ages and ability), and then retreat to the pub afterwards. So this year we will open the bar in the Village Hall instead.
All are welcome. Come and join in, or cheer on the players from the comfort of the Village Hall. The footie starts at 11am and we play for an hour. Then it's hot dogs and pulled pork rolls, and the bar is open until 3pm. It's a great way to start a sociable New Year!
Thursday 22 January: Open Meeting and Update on The Lamb
Come to the Village Hall to find out more about our plans, get an update on our progress and have all your questions answered. It’s free to attend and will be held early evening (more details to follow soon). Please put the date in your diary.
