We have some important dates for your diary coming up!
Unbelievably, it’s already a year since The Lamb pub closed.
While sometimes progress feels slow, a lot of efforts and activities continue behind the scenes to save this vital village amenity and bring it into community ownership for the wider benefit of all our local villages.
Meeting with Chris Curtis MP
Supported by CAMRA, we had a very positive meeting with Chris Curtis, our local MP, earlier this month. He has expressed his willingness to support us and is very keen to see a positive outcome to current negotiations with the owners.
In addition, concerns have been raised about the deteriorating condition of the building and how this impacts the village, so we’re hoping this will soon be addressed by the owners.

The fundraising team has also been incredibly busy, planning some great events and activities for the year ahead:
Free Band Night for all the family
Saturday 16 May – SIZENINE band night. A FREE night out for all the family at Stoke Goldington Village Hall. Fabulous music, food, bar. Door open at 6pm. No need to book – just turn up with friends and family and dance the night away.
Community Car Boot Sale
Sunday 12 July – Community Car Boot Sale at Stoke Goldington Village Hall. 11am to 3pm. Turn your spare stuff into cash, or come along and pick up a bargain.
Sellers can secure a patch for just £10 (click here to book your place), and buyers enjoy free entry. Expect good food, teas and coffee, ice creams, and the bar will be open.
Christmas Calendar
We have launched a Christmas calendar campaign to celebrate the dogs of Stoke Goldington! – Yes, let’s celebrate our fur-bulous friends and start their modelling careers in fine style.
Take a photo of your dog somewhere in Stoke Goldington.
Submit your best shots by October for a chance to feature in the 2027 calendar.
Entry is £5 for your first photo and £2.50 for each additional photo.
The calendar with be available to buy before Christmas
All profits will go to support our fundraising efforts.
Every wag, woof and wonderful photo will help bring us closer to keeping our village pub, so start planning, exploring, and capturing those picture-perfect moments!
