Welcome to The Lamb Pub

We’re working to save The Lamb pub in Stoke Goldington and make it the beating heart of our village. A place where everyone feels at home. A new and modern version of a community pub. Join us!

But with your support we can reopen it for all

The pub is currently closed...

Welcome to
The (new) Lamb

Our vision: A welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, where everyone – families, friends and visitors alike – can gather, relax, and connect. A vibrant, modern space that respects our village’s heritage while embracing new ideas. An environment that is lively yet doesn't need to be overwhelmingly busy all the time.

What's the plan?

Bringing the pub into community ownership is the best way to improve its offering to local people.

We need to do this as a community. We need your support, ideas, and enthusiasm to make this vision a reality.

Let’s build the ‘New Lamb’ together.

Imagine a vibrant, welcoming hub
at the heart of our village

What you have told us about your ideas

“We’re interested in being involved in the development of a community pub via fundraising and purchasing shares in it, and also helping to run it.”

“As well as the pub, a coffee and cake shop would be amazing, plus an area for a little shop for basics. Hold family events, such as Halloween activities, live music, BBQs etc. Have a parcel drop off point.”

“I’d love to see the pub also have a shop, café, working / laptop space with Wi-Fi, food, beer garden.”

“It might be useful to run a mini shop for the basics such as bread, milk etc to save having to travel into Newport Pagnell or Olney.”

“I think there are some opportunities for passing trade in the mornings, to offer fresh coffee, sandwiches and pastries.”

“I don’t drink. But if The Lamb could be more than a pub, a place I could meet friends just for a coffee even, or a place for craft activities, or a place to work instead of being stuck at home all the time, then I’d definitely support that.”

“Pub culture is changing, and the pub needs to offer what the next generation wants. I don't believe this is a drinking pub just for locals; the stereotypical local is a thing of the past… The pub needs to offer a range of quality drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, delicious food and a buzzing atmosphere.”

“I think a coffee shop/brunch option would attract many people. Just look at their popularity locally, with many successful cafes opening up out of towns but drawing in customers successfully (probably more so than local pubs). A small shop selling essentials would also be very useful.”

“Walking groups, book club, parcel drop, library, better food! Could it do farm shop maybe?"

“I would help with fundraising and awareness, particularly on social media. My 16 year old daughter would like a job!”
